Government adopts amendments to Law on Agricultural Land
As the Government announced in a release, proposed amendments and supplements to the Law on Agricultural Land call for new measures to protect land from abuse and usurpation, primarily through clearly defined responsibilities of all parties to the process of land leasing.
One of the main objectives of amendments to the current law is to ensure a foreseeable and reliable business environment as a basic prerequisite for investment in agriculture as well as the strengthening of small agricultural producers, the release reads.
The new Law on Agricultural Land will make sure large investors are offered a long-term land lease agreements, Agriculture Minister Snezana Bogosavljevic Boskovic said earlier.
