Slovenian Don Don pours EUR 1,5 m in Kragujevac-based Zitoprodukt
A year after a takeover of Zitoprodukt, Slovenian Don Don fulfilled promise and production increased, product range expanded, headcount number increased and old equipment was overhauled– they outlined in Kragujevac-based Zitoprodukt upon an anniversary since the ownership structure in the company.
- Production of bread increased from 20.000 to 40.000 loafs of bread per day, we started producing rusks and more than EUR 500.000 has been invested in the mill overhaul which now produces planned 100 tons of flour per day. A total of EUR 1 m was invested in the company, development of the market and existing product range and we are continuously working on retail development - deputy head of Zitoprodukt, Bojan Aleksic, said.
He then outlined that in early February this year Zitoprodukt became the central section in the Don Don system for production of toasted bread with which Kragujevac now supplies entire Serbian market. At the moment, Zitoprodukt produces 16.000 pieces of toasted bread per day and rusks production has also started.
