Free zone under construction in Baric - Government plans to open space for investors in two locations near Belgrade

The Government of Serbia and the Finance Ministry are planning to open a new free zone called `Beograd`. For this purpose, two locations have already been provided - `Baric` in the location of the Prva Iskra holding and `Reva` in Palilula. According to the daily Novosti, this proposal is accepted by the Government.

The surface area of the industrial zone Baric is 220 hectares, and there is already an investor interested in about 41 hectares of land. This location was already mentioned as the "address" of the investment of China`s Meita in the production of metal castings.

`Reva` is a land lot fully equipped with infrastructure, stretching on about 56 hectares between the Pancevacki put Road, the Danube River and the future port.

- One of the first investors in this free zone plans to hire 550 workers in the first phase and additional 220 in the second - Novosti reports.
