The Polish flag carrier LOT announced in a release today it would reinstate flights to Belgrade on 2 January 2016 and fly four times a week between Warsaw and the capital of Serbia.

People at this airline explain that after a six-month break, which began July 1st as a result of the decision that the EU made in line with antitrust regulations, the carrier will reinstate flights to Belgrade starting 2 January 2016, adding that four flights a week will be operated between Belgrade and Warsaw until March 29, when the winter timetable ends.

These flights will be operated on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.

Departures from the Belgrade airport are at 2 PM on Monday and Friday and at 4.30 PM on Tuesday and Saturday.

Owing to the codeshare agreement with Air Serbia, LOT can also offer passengers three weekly flights operated by Air Serbia in addition to aforementioned departures.

The release reads that the previous cooperation between LOT and Air Serbia enabled good connections to certain destinations that passengers from Belgrade had not been able to reach in one day before, such as Riga, Talin, Sankt Petersburg, Madrid, Odessa, Minsk.

Cooperation between LOT and the Serbian flag carrier will be resumed during the winter, which is expected to result in the launch of new codeshare flights.

After March 29th, when the summer timetable starts, LOT will operate Belgrade-Warsaw flights every day.

This timetable offers passengers in transit an ideal connection to North America, that is, Toronto, New York, Chicago, as well as to a large number of cities across Europe.

In the Far East, LOT currently flies to Beijing and is going to launch a service to Tokyo as well starting January 13. The plan for 2016 is to establish services to Bangkok and Seoul.

Poland's LOT is the only airline in the world to use Dreamliner (Boeing 787), which is considered the most advanced aircraft of today, for all intercontinental flights.
