Serbian Strawberry places smart benches in the center of London - 15 more planned by the end of 2015
Solar Strawberry Smart Benches, new product of local start
up Strawberry Energy, were yesterday set up at four locations in Canary Wharf business
quarter of London.
Strawberry Smart Bench is a new technological solution of Strawberry energy for
the needs of the cities of future. Charged with solar energy, this modern,
urban furniture provides free mobile devices charging through installed cables,
USB and wireless charger. Apart from
this function, Strawberry Smart Bench collects data on CO2 quantity, noise level,
air moisture, temperature, air pressure in environment while users can use
installed button as well through which they can call for the Support center.
Value of Strawberry smart benches was recognized by foreign local institutions, self-governance and companies in London by winning at the competition "Connecting people and creating community" organized by the Institute for sustainability, in partnership with the office of the mayor of London and EIT Digital agency.
