Serbian Mining and Energy Minister Aleksandar Antic announced today that the first wind farm in Serbia would be put into operation by the year's end. This 10MW wind farm comprising three windmills 120 meters tall is situated in Vojvodina.
Antic also announced that the template of contract to purchase electricity from renewable energy sources would be announced soon to allow for more intensive investment in wind farms and other renewables.
He added that October would see the end of public discussion about by-laws regulating investment in renewable sources of energy, stressing that Serbia would continue to build power plants running on "green energy".
