Assembly of Serbia adopts package of financial laws - VAT on hotels, transport and services in construction totals 10%

(The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia) The Assembly of Serbia has adopted today Changes and amendments to the Law on value added tax (VAT), Changes and amendments of the Law on republic administrative fees, Changes and amendments of the Law on changes to the Law on mortgage and the Law on confirmation of framework agreement on loan of the Bank for development of the Council of Europe and the Republic of Serbia.

Changes and amendments of these laws were adopted with majority of votes of 160 present parliament members, after discussion about 29 amendments, 21 of which referred to changes to the law on VAT and eight to the changes of the Law on republic administrative fees.

On the voting day, members, with majority of votes, accepted proposal of president of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic to decide again on the Law on special terms of sale of some real estate facilities owned by the Republic of Serbia and, with new voting, they did not adopt that law.
