"Delta Maxi" to take over Bulgarian "Piccadily"
Belgrade-based company "Delta Maxi" will most probably buy Bulgarian supermarket chain "Piccadilly". This was announced by Bulgarian Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC), since the officials of "Piccadilly" chain confirmed recent news about possible takeover.
Representatives of "Piccadilly" refused to reveal more details about this move, saying that they first need to obtain permit from the Commission.
Sale of "Piccadilly" is considered one of the first large contracts in the supermarket sector in Bulgaria, where the local company is bought by foreign business group.
- Our aim was to attract large investor, with whom we can develop our chain - the founder "Piccadilly" chain, Georgi Papurov, said recently.
