"Jerković group" to have bio-diesel factory worth 48m EUR built in Sivac

Mile Jerković, the owner of company "Jerković group", has made the decision to have another bio-diesel factory in Vojvodina built in Sivac, Municipality of Kula. Works on construction of the factory will start this autumn, and the first quantities of bio-diesel should be produced in two years. The factory will be built by company that Jerković plans to found together with the partner from Austria - "EuroBioFuels AG" from "Kristof" group, and they already signed pre-contract. Value of the project is 48m EUR.

- Owner of the company, Mile Jerković, defined most of the contract on August 17, at the meeting with the representatives of "Kristof" group in Austria. The capacity of the unit will be 66,000 tons of fuel and we expect that the works on construction will start very soon. This factory will be employing about 80 workers. Next week we expect a visit from Austria and then everything will be finalized - said Milorad Savić, Manager of "Jerković group".

Jerković decided for construction of factory in Sivac because he bought Agricultural Combine "Bačka" with 3,500 ha of cultivable surfaces in that place last autumn. Also, in the area of 20 km around Sivac, Jerković's company cultivates about 30,000 ha of land.
