Horgos 1 border crossing opened for passenger and freight traffic

Some time before eleven o clock on Sunday, September 20, 2015, Stefanovic and Pinter mutually removed the first fence from Serbian and Hungarian border at the Horgos 1 border crossing and put into operation again that border crossing for passenger and freight traffic.

At the Horgos 2 crossing, procedures with respect to migrants will be implemented and at Horgos 1, facilitation of passenger and freight traffic will be priority.

Previously, two ministers from Hungarian side addressed journalists.

Stefanovic estimated that refugee crisis definitely is still a challenge but that economic cooperation and transit of citizens have advantage.

According to him, agreement of two countries means that at the Horgos 2 border crossing all processes with respect to refugees are implemented and that priority at the Horgos 1 crossing, i.e. facilitation of goods and passenger traffic since he said “everybody lives from economy”.
