Cornerstone laid for "Mercator" hypermarket in Kragujevac - 19m RSD worth of investment

The works on construction of retail-business center of Slovenian company "Mercator" started yesterday (August 29, 2007) with the laying of cornerstone in Kragujevac .

The facility in which 19m RSD will be invested will be built on the surface of 21,000 square meters, it will have 450 covered parking places and it will be settled in the vicinity of Sports Hall "Jezero".

The land for construction of hypermarket was bought by "Mercator" four years ago, but the commencement of realization of that project was postponed due to adaptation to the land-utilization conditions and changes in business plans of Slovenian company.

Construction of "Mercator" center in Kragujevac should be completed at the beginning of April 2008. Once finished, it will employ about 500 citizens of Kragujevac.
