Construction of EUR 1.2 million Emergency Center in Novi Pazar announced

During a recent visit of EU Delegation representatives to Novi Pazar, big projects were agreed upon, one of which is the construction of EUR 1.2 million worth of Emergency Center, it was announced on the official website of this city. As Mayor Meho Mahmutovic explained, all preparatory documents will be ready by December, and the project is expected to be approved early next year.

Another project discussed is the construction of additional 5 dams on the other side of the city to fully protect Novi Pazar from floods. Mahmutovic stressed that in addition to this project, the plan was also to use the Raska River.

- Novi Pazar is the first city in Serbia to prepare all the necessary documentation and to get funds from the World Bank. Washington has confirmed that Novi Pazar will obtain EUR 2.5 million to finance the use of the Raska River - said Mahmutovic.
