This year's 49th Bitef will be held from September 17 to 24. As it was announced at a press conference on Monday (31 August 2015) by the director and selector of this festival, Milos Latinovic and Anja Susa, respectively, the main repertoire dubbed "In Memory of Jovan Cirilov" includes ten plays from Serbia, the region, Germany, France and Russia, with traditional accompanying programs Bitef na Filmu (Bitef on Big Screen) and Bitef Polifonija (Bitef Polyphony).
According to Anja Susa, the first Bitef without Jovan Cirilov will be dedicated to him, who is, alongside Mira Trailovic, a co-founder of Bitef and its long-time art director and selector.

Presided by Mirjana Karanovic, the jury is made up of playwright Agnjeska Jakimjak (Poland), actor Zarko Lausevic, playwright Stefan Blaske (Germany), and stage designer Tomas Volgrav (Belgium).
