Record July at Nis-based airport - Wizz Air brought passengers' number increase

Nis-based airport recorded at the end of July a record number of passengers since it was opened again in 2003. Only during last month, nearly 7000 people went through Nis-based airport.

Speaking about the number of passengers, the manager of air traffic, Mladen Stankovic, says that the number changes but that with the arrival of Wizz Air, a growth has been recorded.

Management of Konstantin Veliki airport does not expect further increase in passengers’ number on monthly basis having in mind that as of September 15 Wizz Air is decreasing the number of flights to Malmoe, after summer peak, to two flights a week.

- Business plan 2015 by the end of the year implies 25.000 passengers but our estimation the number will be higher – Stankovic outlines.

Since the beginning of the year until today, nearly 12.500 flew from Nis airport.

Let us remind that Wizz Air, in late June started regular lines from Nis to Malme, June 25 and Basel, June 29.
