The Government of Serbia failed in negotiating with IMF with respect to exceptions in implementation of penalties for premature retiring, Blic finds out.

Namely, the moment change to the Law on retirement and disabled insurance were adopted at the Parliament, the Government became aware of that fact that no transition period in implementation of new penalties , i.e. permanent decrease for the ones who prematurely retired has not been introduced, Therefore, they even discussed potential cancellation of penalties for premature retirement, the newspaper reports.

According to the old law, retirement used to take only one of the requirements, age or length of service. As of January, proscribed permanent decrease of 0, 34% for every month of retirement before 65, maximum to 20,4%. This means that permanent retirement decrease refers to all those who opt for leaving or losing a job before age limit proscribed by the law of 65 for men and 60 and six months for women Blic reminds.

The Law on the pension and disabled insurance should, as the newspapers finds out, should change after all in the part referring to temporary and final decisions on retirement. Namely, every citizen, when retiring, gets temporary decision and final account takes years to be done. It has been discussed still whether temporary decisions will be completely canceled or to define the moment when temporary decision becomes permanent.
