Uniprom pays remaining EUR 14 million for KAP

The owner of Niksic-based Uniprom, Veselin Pejovic, paid Monday (10 August 2015) remaining EUR 13,980,000 for the assets of Podgorica Aluminum Plant (KAP) and, thus, became the owner of KAP.

According to him, in two or three months, which is how long it will take to finish the necessary procedures, KAP will officially get the new owner that is said to have big plans for this company, the web portal Cdm reports.

- We've increased production from 3,200 to 4,000 tonnes and made a plan for the future development of KAP, which includes the processing of alloys, aluminum sheets and logs - said Pejovic.

Pejovic also explained that unlike previous owners, KAP was trying to work as many domestic companies as possible at the moment. Now it cooperates with 110 Montenegrin firms.
