Germany backs promotion of Serbian economy

Germany will continue to provide support to the promotion of Serbia's economy and assistance in professional education, as concluded at yesterday's meeting between the representatives of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SCC) and the Germany Ministry of Cooperation.

SCC President Marko Cadez announced in Berlin large events to be attended by government representatives, smaller meetings to introduce German companies to concrete advantages of investing in Serbia, and the establishment of direct contacts between companies.

An importan segment of talks focused on the introduction of dual education - a combination of schooling in vocational schools and work at companies, modeled after the German model.

Besides the delegation of SCC and the German Federal Ministry of Cooperation, the meeting in Berlin was also attended by the representatives of the German Business Delegation to Serbia, German Development Agency GIZ, Development Bank, and the Embassy of Serbia.
