Women's national basketball team of Serbia wins EuroBasket
The team coached by Marina Maljkovic thus achieved the greatest success in the history of women's basketball in Serbia.
The Serbian team managed not only to beat France, which was favored before the match, but also to directly qualify for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Sunday was also a successful day for water polo players. Namely, the national water polo team of Serbia defended the World League title and, thus, qualified for the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. In the final in Bergam, Serbia beat Croatia 9:6.
As the Olympic Committee of Serbia announced, of all the countries in the world, Serbia currently has the biggest number of athletes who already qualified for the Olympics in Rio.
