Serbia and Austria signed memorandum on cattle breeding development

The minister of agriculture and environmental protection at the Government of Serbia, Snezana Bogosavljevic Boskovic has signed today in Novi Sad Memorandum on development and cooperation in cattle breeding with federal minister for agriculture, forestry and water engineering of Austria, Andrey Ruperter.


As a consequence of signed Memorandum, business contract between general distributo of beef from Austria, Sava Vrbljanac, and representative of Austrian cattle exporter, "Klinger" Kristian Klinger was signed. Vrbanjac also signed the contract with the mayor of Zrenjanin Cedomir Janjic on purchase of beef.

In her addressing the attendees, the minister Bogosavljevic Boskovic said that signed Memorandum is continuation of good cooperation in agriculture between two countries and the option to develop the cooperation.

She outlined that Austria is one of the leaders of Europe when it comes to cattle breeding and according to her, Serbia wants to use knowledge and experience of Austria to develop its own cattle production.

Austrian minister, after signing the Memorandum, said that his ministry decided to invite five Serbian students to big international agricultural forum - "Alpah", which is held in late summer and where all staying costs will be covered.
