Plum Fair "Treasure of Serbia" in Osečina – August 31-September 2

Tourist manifestation “Treasure of Serbia”, which will be held from August 31 to September 2 in Osečina, was presented yesterday (June 19, 2007).

The primary goal of that Fair is affirmation of fruit growing and production of plums and plum products. During the Fair, several scientific meetings will also be organized.

- The nature gave us excellent agro-ecological conditions for production of plums of recognizable, high quality. Plum and plum products can become the brands of Serbia - not only prunes and brandy, but maybe rather sugar-free plum jam “packed” in a modern way. But, we also need modern collectives and stock markets, larger orchards and different assortment, more beautiful packaging and recognizable trademark – said Stojan Jevtić, the President of the Organizational Board of Plum Fair "Treasure of Serbia" and the President of Chamber of Commerce of Serbia.
