Four offers at tender for procurement of smart counters

Tender for procurement of IT and measuring infrastructure, devices and integration and which partially comprises procurement of electrical smart counters as well has opened today and four offers of renowned European companies have arrived, three with participation of local companies. Tender was released in public and 22 representatives of offers, EPS communicated.

Values of offers have been communicated publically and offered prices are lower than expected and estimated. Final decision on selection of the most favorable bidder will be made after the analysis and expert evaluation of offers which tender commission will carry out..

As it was stated, the "EPS Metering" project, procurement being a part of it, is funded through the loan of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development - EBRD and the European investment bank- EIB. With the approval of the Government of Serbia and EBRD, tender was released December 15, 2014. All documentation, procedures, actions and answers to questions are supervised and approved by EBRD and entire tender procedure is conducted in line with EBRD rules. I it was communicate that tender documentation was purchased by 39 firms, 20 of them local.

EPS outlines that tender for procurement of IT and measuring infrastructure, devices and integration is planned for set up of entire information and communication solution and infrastructure, for efficiency improvement, full energy flow control, quality service for customers in commercial and public supplying, decrease of loss and improvement electricity payment collection.
