Pharmaceutical company "Hemofarm" announced yesterday (June, 13th, 2007) that it has sold the business unit for production, sale and distribution of veterinary medicaments "Symbiofarm" to the Veterinary institute "Subotica", a member of "Victoria" group.
With this decision to sell "Symbiofarm", "Hemofarm" continues its tendency to focus on its primary activity- research, development, production and placing of medications for human use, as pointed out in the announcement of this company from Vrsac.
According to the signed Contract, between the President of "Hemofarm", Miodrag Babic and the President of "Victoria" group, Milija Babovic, it is agreed that the Veterinary institute "Subotica" takes over "Hemofarm" plant in Srpska Crnja, in which PVC gloves and AV and transfusion systems are presentley produced and to reconstruct it for the production of veterinary medications.
The buyer made comittment to keep a part of the workers from this plant, as stand in the announcement of "Hemofarm".
"Symbiofarm" was founded in the last years of the ex Yugoslavia union, when "Hemofarm" concern was introducting the program of veterinary medicaments in order to compensate for the lost market.
