Owner of Uniprom, Veselin Pejovic, paid the second installment for the acquisition of the property at the Aluminum combine Podgorica (KAP) totaling EUR 10,02 m, trustee in bankruptcy, Veselin Perisic, announced.

On Wednesday, Perisic and Pejovic signed new annex to the contract on sale of Podgorica-based plant which implies that a in the next five days a buyer pays EUR 10.020.000 for down-payment and to settle the remaining EUR 13.880.000 in the next six months latest, Cdm portal reports today, stating the writing of Dnevne novine.

Pejovic’s Uniprom has been managing KAP since July 19 last year and he paid previously EUR 4 m for company acquisition out of agreed EUR 28 m.

Singing of the second annex to the contract on Tuesday was approved by members of the Trustees’ Board at KAP with the votes of the Government and EPCG.

They estimated that disputes initiated by former owner of Podgorica-based combine – Central-European aluminum company, CEAC, and companies close to it, have been running against the KAP and Uniprom, as well as problematic approach to a part of the combine property, are legitimate reasons for paying the full price.

On the other hand, as it was stated in the text, representatives of CEAC announced they are encouraged with the resolution where the European Parliament explicitly invites Montenegrin government to solve trading disputes with foreign investors which are important for Montenegro. Resolution on the EC Progress Report on Montenegro was adopted yesterday and there the European officials expressed serious concerns for delay in solving bankruptcy procedure at KAP and invited government for sustainable dispute solving.

Niksic-based Uniprom answered the tender a year ago for the acquisition of the Aluminum combine in Podgorica for EUR 28 m, the initial price amount.
