On Thursday, March 19, 2015, plant-wide, 1.000 restaurants, from modern bistros to the most elite ones at the gastronomical map of the world will offer their guests for dinner more than 1.300 menus in the honor of the French gastronomy. "Gout de France" is organized at the initiate of one of the most famous French chefs, Alain Ducasse and the Ministry for foreign affairs and international development.

Inspired by the old idea of Ogist Escoffier, who organized in 1912 Epicure dinner – the same day, in a few world cities, the same menu for a large number of guests was served - Goût de France is the project organized for the first time this year and which was very well – accepted by restaurants worldwide.

Unlike Epicure’s dinner, Tastes of France do not offer the same menu worldwide, on the contrary. Every chef had the chance to make his own menu inspired with great French cuisine. Every chef will offer his or her " à la française" menu, sticking to traditional French guideline – a appetitive, a cold starter, warm starter, fish or sea food dish, chicken meat, French cheese, chocolate dessert, French wines and digestives which will give them full freedom to outline their own culinary tradition and gastronomical skills. The base will be fresh, seasonal and local products with decreased percentage of fat, sugar, salt and proteins. The menu pricing will be defined in restaurants.

Restaurants applied to the organizational committee online, sending their application and proposal of their menu. The list of selected restaurants was available at www.good-france.com.

The international commission comprised of the biggest world chefs such as Paul Bocuse from France Raymond Blanc, GB, Thomas Keller, USA, Kiyomi Mikuni, Japan, Paul Pairet, China, Joel Robuchon, France, Nadia Santini, Italy, Guy Savoy, France, etc. headed by Alain Ducasse, approved 1.300 menus.

Discover specialties Serbian restaurants listed among participants and with the right to be given Goût de France mark will offer. There are five of them, four in Belgrade ("Cameleon", "Klub književnika", "Madera", "Horeca Centar") and one in Krusevac ("Olive tree").
