Representatives of "Air India" in Belgrade because of "Jat"
Delegation of Indian airliner "Air India" arrived in Belgrade to talk with the management of "Jat Airways" about cooperation, founding of joint venture and privatization.
Representatives of "Air India" have also started elaboration of study on operations and property of Serbian company in order to determine possible forms of collaboration. Five months ago, "Jat Airways" and "Air India" signed the letter of intent for founding of joint venture, of which headquarters will be in Belgrade.
According to unofficial information, Indians were interested in purchase of majority share in "Jat", which would be the first takeover of some company by "Air India". This company, which, as far as Europe is concerned, flies only to Birmingham, London, Paris and Frankfurt, will be enabled to fly all over continent with the procurement "Jat", thanks to the open sky agreement, in the case of which Airport "Nikola Tesla" would most probably become the center of European operations of Indian air transportation company.
