Governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), Jorgovanka Tabakovic said on Tuesday that the central bank will not imply radical measures and that it will continue with the policy of low inflation and exchange rate stability.

- NBS will try to, careful and responsible monetary policy, provide pre-conditions for further economy development and low inflation and stability of foreign currency market are important factor for business predictability – she said at the Kopaonik business forum.

Tabakovic outlined that special attention will be paid to maintaining stability, banking system quality maintenance and increase of “dinarization” level of domestic financial system.

- Radical measures such as cancellation of currency clause, non-market measures implementation and legal security endangering through ordering banks at which rates they will loan funds are the things which are not in a range of discussion – the governor said.

Tabakovic said that NBS forecasts that in 2015 Serbia will have fall of GDP by 0,5% but that they are putting efforts to reach estimation of EBRD which expects growth of Serbia’s GDP by 0,5%.

She said that dinar in February strengthened by 2,7% compared to euro due to decrease of uncertainty and investing into securities.
