A delegation of the City of Jagodina led by Mayor Dragan Markovic Palma has paid a visit to the cheese maker Inalpi in Turin (Italy) and spoken with its owner Ambrogio Invernizzi about the construction of cheese and powder milk factory in Jagodina.

As Markovic and Invernizzi agreed at a meeting in the town of Kuneo in north Italy, the place where Inalpi headquarters is located, an agreement to build this factory should be defined in late February or early March in Jagodina.

Markovic reminded his hosts that Jagodina was already home to five factories of Italian companies, three of which were in operation and employed about 1,000 workers.

- No Italian investor has left either Jagodina or Serbia, which is another reason why you should trust our city - Markovic's Palma Plus TV told Tanjug news agency this morning citing Markovic.

Markovic pointed out that Serbia had political and economic stability, adding that the construction of cheese and milk powder factory in Jagodina would provide a job for about 5,000 agricultural producers and their families in the Pomoravlje Region.

Inalpi registered a turnover of EUR 130 million last year. It produces eight kinds of cheese and milk powder.
