Due to dollar strengthening, gas price jumps as of March

Although purchasing prices of natural gas in dollars in Q1 2015 are lower for 8,6%, as of March 2, 2new, higher gas prices for public supplying will be calculated. This change is a result of dollar exchange rate increase of, 16,8% since the last price change, the Energy Agency announced.

After previous check, the Energy Agency Council agreed with the decision on new prices of the management for 33 public suppliers.

Average price change for households, with all distributors, except from Srbijagas totals 5,6%. When it comes to PC Srbijagas, there has been change in price of gas networks usage which have not been changed since 2011 so gas price for households connected to the network of PC Srbijagas will be higher for 13% on the average After this increase, averaged gas price for all households of Srbijagas will be RSD 52,4 per m3 and RSD 53,2 per m3 (VAT excluded) when it comes to all other distributors

In Serbia, 10% of households, i.e. 249.000 of them have gas connection.

Since September 2013, gas price at which Srbijagas, based on tender conducted by the Government of Serbia, supplies all public suppliers, is aligned with real costs at which it buys form export and domestic production.
