Greece's new prime minister, Alexis Tsipras, has promised to take measures to rescue the country's economy and admitted that his government has no room for error, EFE news agency reports.
Tsipras has pointed out that his priority is to give a chance to the economy to develop and to help small enterprises threatened by bankruptcy. Also, according to him, a great importance will be given to the unemployment reduction policy.
He has also promised to curb the type of mass all-inclusive tourism that Greece has developed over the past few decades, the British daily Daily Mail has reported.
- We do not want to keep the current model of intensive exploitation of tourism - Daily Mail has cited the Greek PM as saying.
As Daily Mail adds, Tsipras primarily intends to encourage a move away from the all-inclusive resorts back to the traditional holiday model where visitors use local bars, resturants and attractions.
British tour operators have already announced that the changes the Greek government may make won't affect this year's holiday deals.
