MIHAJLOVIC: Jokic incompetent, Miroslav Stojic proposed for GM at Zeleznice
The minister of construction, traffic and infrastructure of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovic, said on Saturday, January 17, 2015, that the Government of Serbia gave up on the proposal of Zdravko Jokic for GM at Zeleznice Srbije (Railways of Serbia) since he is not competent for that function.
She said they received information on investment loan which Jokic took for his company and that based on these data it was decided to propose Miroslav Stojicic instead of him.
- Although he does not own to the state we thought he is not competent enough to manage Zeleznice and we thought it was much better to give up on such a candidate even at the last moment than to defend that candidate– Mihajlovic said to journalists at the Government of Serbia.
She added this differs this Government from the previous ones since they would probably defend what cannot be defended.
Jokic graduated at the Faculty for construction in Subotica and he is an owner of Novi Sad-based Graditelj.
At the meeting held on Saturday, the Government of Serbia decided to propose to the Assembly of the Zeleznice Srbije Mirolsav Stojicic to be elected GM although it proposed Jokic the previosu day.
Competition for selection of GM at Zeleznice for a four-year period was released October 9 last year.
