City transport company Novi Sad is buying 15 new buses in 2015 - Electronic ticket payment system underway as well
City transport in Novi Sad was planning this year a significant car fleet rehabilitation: this year’s business plan comprises purchase of 15 buses.
The business plan 2015 implies purchase of five articulated diesel-driven buses
(RSD 15 m), pet solo gas-driven buses (RSD 150 m) and five solo diesel-driven buses
(RSD 100 m). Apart from new buses, GSP
also planned to rehabilitate carriage-bodies on five old buses and thus it
planned RSD 50 m for that purpose. Apart
from that, new carriage-bodies on six low profile diesel buses are planned but
from the city budget funds.
In 2015, the company planned investments to be higher than a billion dinars, VAT excluded so along with new buses, and investments comprise electronic ticket payment system totaling RSD 135 m.
However, until that ticket payment system is introduced, the company planned
RSD 40 m for maintenance of the existing ticket selling system in buses of city
and suburban transport. However, the city transport company mentions that the
sum of RSD 40 m is only planned and it does not automatically mean it will be
spent as well.
The car fleet of the Public City Transport Novi Sad has 254 buses, 210
operating every day in the traffic. Average age of buses is 12,5 years while EU
standard is ten.
