VP of the Government of Serbia and the minister of trade, Rasim Ljajic, said that Russia will definitely approve of customs-free import of all kinds of cheese from Serbia.

Ljajic said to journalists that Serbia asked from Russia to add to a customs-free list cars, some kinds of cheese, wine, sugar and cigarettes.

- We expect good news when it comes to customs-free car export. We asked for a contingent of 10.000.We will see whether Russia will approve everything or a part of it– Ljajic said to journalists in the break at the first conference organized by the Japanese Business Club in Serbia.

According to him, after Russia imposed a ban on food from EU, Serbia expected it will reach more in cheese export to Russian market but the problem in export emerged when very cheap cheese from South America appeared.

Ljajic explained that milk in South America is very cheap and that Serbian cheese producers, under current circumstances, cannot be competitive to South-American.
