EPS invests in ecology, aim is reduction of ash emmission, about €500m needed

Through investment in ecology in next few years, Electric Power Company of Serbia (EPS) plans to 10 times reduce emmission of harmful gases from steam power plants and reduce harmful effects of ash and slag dumps to air, land and water. Ecological modernization of TENT started in 2002 will last about 10 years. Eco-filters and dumps will be organized in the period from 2008 to 2009, whereas in 2009 it is planned that the percentage of sulfur and nitrogen oxides be reduced. Amount of about €500m is required for realization of all works.
