Greeks announced about 150m EUR for construction for Corridor 10 – announcement of tender expected
The Deputy Head of the Greek diplomacy, Evripidis Stilianidis, stated that his country planned to invest about 150m EUR in construction of "Corridor 10" in scope of “Hellenic” plan. Corridor 10 will connect the Thessalonica port, Skopje and Belgrade with central Europe.
- Construction of about 108 km of highway, for which total of 625m EUR is required, Greek side will co-finance with about 150m EUR. We have completed all preparations. We have finished the negotiations with our fellow Serbs and we are waiting for the new Serbian Government to announce tender for the project, so that we could start financing and realization – said he.
"Hellenic" plan for rehabilitation of the Balkans, Stilianidis reminded, was the idea of the previous Government. According to him, Greece took on the obligation toward 6 countries of the Balkans to spend 550m EUR from the national budget for support to development projects or private investments in broader region, contributing in that way to European orientation of its neighbors in practice.
