A total of EUR 157 m of German developmental help to Serbia – November 20 to see the protocol on developmental cooperation in Belgrade

The protocol on developmental cooperation between the government of Serbia and the Federal Republic of Germany for 2014 where Berlin will approve Belgrade EUR 157 m for developmental projects will be signed tomorrow at the Government of Serbia, the EU Integration office announced.

On behalf of the Serbian Government, the minister of finance Dusan Vujovic will sign the protocol and Cristiana Begeman Hagedom, Deputy GM for north Africa, Middle East, south Caucasus, Latin America SEE at the Federal Ministry for economic cooperation and development on behalf of the delegation of the Federal Republic of Germany

The objective of negotiations and signing of the Protocol is continuation of the dialogue on developmental politics and cooperation between the Government of Serbia and Germany as well as the agreement on usage of funds provided from the budget of the Federal Republic of Germany for 2014.

Within cooperation for 2014, Serbia has at disposal EUR 157 m for developmental projects totaling EUR 157 m, EUR 138,5 m of which within financial cooperation (developmental loans) EUR 18,5 mil EUR within technical cooperation of grants within technical help.

In the period 2000 - 2013, for developmental cooperation of the Republic of Serbia and Federal Republic of Germany, a total of EUR 1,45 billion was set aside for developmental help.

German developmental help in the Republic of Serbia as donations and soft loans is implemented through financial and technical (expert) support, it was stated in the announcement of the EU Integration Office.
