Equipment tested on maize – November 28 KWS opens Center for seeds processing in Becej

The official opening of the Center for seeds processing of German Becej-based company KWS is scheduled for November 28 and the new plant has been working with full capacity since September 25. It is the biggest investment in Becej municipality for the past three decades, totaling EUR 40 m which will directly or indirectly provide 250 new hires.

- This is at the moment the most important investment of our company, our first greenfield plant and we are proud for being the first seeds company which recognized Vojvodina as an optimal region for seeds production – new head of KWS for Serbia, Suad Kumbarlic, said upon setting up the cornerstone.

The first construction stage of the center on 15 ha in Industrial zone near the plant for soy processing, Sojaprotein, ended.
