Today (April 18, 2007), the Investment and Export Promotion Agency of Serbia (SIEPA) will start implementation of new project, the Program of Support and Accreditation of Local Partners, which is worth 100,000 EUR. The aim of the project is upgrading of the capacities of all municipalities in Serbia and attracting of investments. The completion of the project is supposed to take place in June 2008.
In the first phase of the project, which is realized with the support from the World Bank, regional round tables will be organized, first of which will be held tomorrow (April 19, 2007) in Zrenjanin, the municipality that created best terms for foreign investments in Serbia in the previous period.
The representatives of seven municipalities from Banat will take part in the work of the round table in Zrenjanin. They will talk with the councilors of the World Bank, SIEPA and Mayor of Zrenjanin Goran Knežević. The project is financed by the European Agency for Reconstruction and it is being implemented by MIGA, which is a part of the World Bank group.
