Tarkett acquires Dutch Desso for EUR 100 m
French company for production of synthetic floor coverings, Tarkett, acquired Dutch company for wall to wall carpets production, Desso, for EUR 100 m. French company opted for this step so that it would reactive wall to wall carpet production halted ten years ago.
Thus, Tarkett will become the biggest supplier of wall to wall carpets for offices, hotels and other public spaces in Europe after American Interface. Desso currently employs 820 people and last year it generated profit of EUR 202 m.
Desso is known for artificial grass production.
