By the end of 2014, Vip to pour EUR 23 m in 2G and 3G networks
Vip mobile ended modernization of network equipment in the region of Jagodina, Cuprija and Paracin and provided better signal coverage for this part of Serbia.
Head of CTO at Vip mobile, Dejan Kastelic, said on Friday that, after modernization ended, results of measuring of VIP network in the open and inside the facility are ‘significantly better and conversation more quality’.
At the press conference in Jagodina-based hotel Hill, Kastelic outlined that the operator “by the end of the year will invest EUR 23 m in modernization of 2G and 3G networks all around Serbia and estimated that "Vip’s equipment fulfills the highest international and local technological and environmental standards”.
Vip mobile, member of Telekom Austria, got the license in Serbia in late 2006. As the biggest greenfield investment in Serbia it poured EUR 827 m so far. In late September, it had more than two million users and it employs 900 experts and managers.
- This year, buy the end of September, more than two million users joined Vip which is a growth of 4,5% compared to the same period last year- Kastelic said and reminded that at the same period, company profit, in line with the comparable basis, increased by 4% and they total RSD 18,6 billion.
