Construction of Jakovo Interchange on New Belgrade-Surcin Section to Begin Next Week

Vesic said that the Jakovo interchange would make it easier for the residents of that part of the city to access the Milos Veliki highway, according to the website of the ministry.
The construction works will begin next week, and the interchange is planned to be completed by the end of the year.
– The interchange may appear smaller, but it is very important because it will make life easier for around 40,000 people who will gravitate toward it – he said.
Vesic also emphasized that, with the completion of this interchange, there would no longer be transit truck traffic through the center of Surcin, which would contribute to improved air quality in the municipality, but also the maintenance of the roads and a greater safety of all participants in the traffic.
– Now there will be a clear connection between the industrial zone and the highway, which will lead to new investments in Surcin itself – the minister assessed.
