The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, through the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Belgrade, has published the procedure for the reception and selection of propositions for projects to be implemented with a grant within the Official Developmental Help of the Republic of Bulgaria, with the starting date set for 2021.
The minimum value of a project is BGN 5,000 (around EUR 2,500), and the recommended maximum value is:
– for projects with the main purpose of the delivery of goods and/or services – up to BGN 70,000 (around EUR 35,000);
– for projects with the main purpose of carrying out repair and/or construction activities – from BGN 70,000 to BGN 270,000 (around EUR 135,000).
The co-financing of the project activities provided by the applicant will be seen as an advantage in the evaluation, selection and approval of the projects, the podsticaji.rs portal reports.
Project proposals must include an indicative date of the beginning of the implementation after March 1, 2021, and no later than November 30, 2021. The projects need to be completed by December 31, 2023.
Eligible candidates are:
– Beneficiaries of primary and secondary budget – legal entities of the Republic of Serbia;
– International and local non-governmental organizations;
– Municipalities and their associations;
– Education, health and social institutions;
– International humanitarian organizations and
– Other organizations and associations without political goals or participation.
The application form is available at their website in Bulgarian and English. All items must be filled out properly in either Bulgarian or English.
In case there are flaws which make it difficult to asses the project proposal, the Embassy of Bulgaria in Belgrade may require the applicant to provide additional information as soon as possible, otherwise, the project is liable to be rejected.
