The European Investment Bank (EIB) today signed financing agreements worth EUR 30 million with Credit Agricole in Serbia as support to projects of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Serbia and a quicker integration of the country into the European Union.

As Credit Agricole Serbia announced, projects of SMEs and other projects promoted by local authorities and final beneficiaries, especially those in production, agriculture and tourism, will be financed.

Priority will be given to investments which entail the employment of the young within the European Youth Employment and Training for the Western Balkans (EYET). A part of the funds can be available for support to the training and education of young people within SMEs.

The loan is expected to provide direct support to around 300 companies and sustain around 10,000 jobs.
