SIDA Stockholm

Sida's task is to work to improve the living standards of poor people. What this means in concrete terms during the fiscal year is described in two annual directives and letters of appropriations from the Government. These are drawn up after Parliament has approved the development cooperation budget.
Sida Civil Society Center in Härnösand is Sida's new institute for concept and methodological development. The Center offers training programmes, seminars etc and is intended to be a meeting place for theorists and practitioners active in the field of international development cooperation.
