Watershed organization Galovica placed in Zemun on address 'Avijaticarski Trg 10' includes in the description of its basic activities considerable number of watershed and other related tasks, where the greatest part is engaged by the maintenance of the drainage pattern on an area approximately between Belgrade and the city of Novi Sad. It could be stated, in shortest cuts, that the key activities of Galovica are:

Very significant place in duties of Galovica is reserved for the upkeep of some parts of levees and inundations on the left bank of river Sava, in extent of slightly over 80 kilometers, starting with Block 45 in New Belgrade and ending with Klenak village in Srem area. We are also maintaining the Zemun wharf on the right bank of Danube. Zemun was once a separate town but before 70 or 80 years it became a part of Belgrade. The area on wich we are maintaining the drainage pattern includes counties of Zemun, New Belgrade, Stara Pazova, Indjija and Pecinci as well as some parts of Ruma and Irig counties.
