The Institute prepares and publishes all necessary school books for Elementary and High Schools in Serbian language and seven languages of national minorities. These school books are used on the whole territory of the FR of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro), Serbs Republic, in the neighbouring country, as well as in Western and overseas countries (Canada, The USA, Australia).

Also the Institute has university school books in its publishing program and it publishes school readings as well as pedagogy doccumentation.

Besides school books, the Institute prepares and publishes other publications for heterogenous population: from the pre-school upbringing and education to the capital works of the national and the world art and science. There are 28 of these project in preparation or they have already been printed.
