JP Skijališta Besna kobila Vranje

Mountain Besna kobila is placed in the South Serbia, 40 km east from the town of Vranje, in proximity of E-75 highway. Vranjska Banja, famous spa is in the mountains base, well known for its remedial springs of thermal water.


The highest peak of Besna kobila is 1.922 m high, and on a clear day people can see mountains Kopaonik and Shara, as well as mountain top Rila in Bulgaria. Besna kobila is a part of the Rhodops mountain chain, and its grounds are mostly made of granite. Its peaks are covered by snow most of the year. Mountain base is covered in woods, while upper areas are mostly pastures. One of the major characteristics of Besna kobila are wild, self-grown plants and wild fruits, various flora with over 700 different species of plants.There are also mountain pastures, woods, clean soil, water and air, which give excellent conditions for spending time and resting on Besna kobila.
Today, Besna Kobila is still oasis of nature, untouched by human hand, which gives opportunity for various winter sports, excursions and recreation in healthy environment, biking or SUV’s ride through beautiful paths and walkways. Besna kobila provides excellent conditions for hunting, because it is rich with wild boars, foxes and wolves.
