International piano week started in Belgrade and lasts until May 9, 2006
International piano week will be held in Belgrade under patronage of pianist Michel Sonji and it will be organized by Belgrade-based Music school "Josip Slavenski", French Cultural Center and "Jugokoncerta" from May 4 to May 9, 2006.
This festival will host the most talented young pianists, educated under supervision and by method of Michel Sonji, who will give master classes to 13 most talented young pianists from Music School "Slavenski" during his stay in Belgrade.
Sonji is the creator of specific combined music method whose characteristic is to enable joy of expression and piano interpretation to everyone. He is also founder of music school in Paris and Switzerland and, in the scope of his piano academies, he founded SOS talents which supports education of especially talented young pianists. Recently, Sofija Nedić, pupil of Music School "Josip Slavenski", became one of them. She was the first person from SCG to receive that scholarship.
