The Czech Development Agency is an implementing body of the Czech Development Cooperation primarily focused on design and execution of bilateral development projects. CzDA has been in operation since January 1, 2008 and has been re-established by the Law on Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Assistance on July 1, 2010. The agency reports to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The main tasks of CzDA are to identify, formulate, implement and monitor projects in priority partner countries, to award grants to NGOs and to conduct professional training for Czech ODA staff.
CzDA actively cooperates with NGOs as well as private sector, namely with the Czech Forum for Development Cooperation (FoRS), association of NGOs, and the Entrepreneurs’ Platform for Development Cooperation (PPZRS), association of businesses. CzDA also closely cooperates with other European donors, especially through its active membership in the Practitioners’ Network for European Development Cooperation.
