President of MK Group Miodrag Kostic expressed his readiness to co-invest in the formation of Serbia's new flag carrier. Appearing as a guest on "Izmedju Dve Vatre" show on TV B92, Kostic said he would do that "out of pure altruism."
He stressed that minimum 10 businessmen should invest in the new airline, adding that the share capital should amount to EUR 25 million.
Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Milutin Mrkonjic confirmed Wednesday that negotiations had been underway with domestic businessmen who were willing to form a new airline, but he did not want to reveal their names because it might endanger the negotiations.
As Blic daily reported, this group of Serbian businessmen, which is mentioned as a potential buyer of Jat Airways, is led by Delta owner Miroslav Miskovic.
