Slavija Square may feature four pedestrian underpasses, a fountain in the center of the roundabout and tram tracks along its rim in the future. Work on the main design is already underway and, if everything goes as planned, reconstruction may kick off next year.
As the city authorities explain, the reconstruction of Slavija Square aims to improve the existing traffic system, increase the flow of vehicles at one of the busiest junctions in the city, and avoid crossing of pedestrian with road traffic.
The projected value of this investment is EUR 4.8 million.
